My personal real estate journey began when I bought my first property in Melbourne, at the age of 23. I have continued to buy investment-grade properties across a range of capital cities, more recently in inner-city Brisbane, a blue-chip suburb of Coorparoo over the last few decades.
As a long-term property investor, it was a natural progression for me to gain real estate sales experience, and to complete my real estate license.
After obtaining my license, I worked as a real estate agent listing, selling, and appraising all kinds of residential, retail, and commercial property, before entering into the Buyers and Vendor Advocacy arena.
Prior to working in real estate, I spent over two decades in Policing and Investigations.
It was a fantastic career with many opportunities to deal with people from all walks of life.
I developed resilience and empathy while needing to remain calm in stressful situations.
Policing allowed me to establish an intuition for the ‘truth’ enabling me to assess if I am being lied to by others and I was blessed to have learned so many investigative techniques that I have honed to this day.
A large part of this work was negotiating for a win-win result, which I now bring to my role at Property Mavens.
My time working as a real estate agent sales agent enabled me to witness the seller-buyer property side of the negotiation table and gain expertise in different ways to approach these scenarios.
As a buyer's agent, researching and sourcing the “ideal property” for specific budgets is another of my strengths, thanks to my investigations background, own investment experience, and subsequent real estate selling experience.
I am passionate about assisting investors and home buyers that wish to relocate to Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, and other surrounding localities to find and secure properties that outperform the averages! I believe in safely growing a portfolio for my clients that allows them to obtain wealth and financial freedom whilst they sleep peacefully at night.

This is where I believe my past experiences gives me a huge advantage over many other Buyer and Vendor advocates, who don’t possess my “street” knowledge of local neighborhood and contacts to ensure I help my clients avoid making the most common home buyer and investor mistakes, which is buying poor performing property, which can cost home buyers and investors hundreds of thousands of dollars, potentially millions of dollars with poor property purchases over the long term, if they were to attempt to purchase the property themselves.
