My career in property began almost five years ago; holding roles as a property manager, a project manager in a settlements team, and as a selling agent. In these positions I enjoyed getting to know my clients and gaining a broad overview of property transactions. Prior to working in real estate I was a business manager at McDonalds, managing three central Melbourne franchises, including taking over an underperforming restaurant and returning it to profit within a short time.
As a buyers’ agent and advocate at Property Mavens I continue to hone my skills in helping both owner-occupiers and investors find the right property here in Melbourne. A buyers’ agent is there for the buyer, unlike a sales agent who acts in the interests of the seller. But as an vendor advocate I can also help my clients select a suitable and highly qualified agent to sell a home.
At Property Mavens we have a well-defined approach that begins with a client’s brief. From this, we gain an understanding of what they are looking to achieve, even ten years from now, and then work backward to develop a wealth strategy for that desired outcome. We set realistic yet achievable goals and aim for a well-balanced property portfolio. As your buyers agent it’s my role to understand the property market and identify the right areas to buy. I do due diligence and negotiate with selling agents on behalf of my clients. I carry out inspections, ensure that the property is sound, amend sales contracts if necessary and use my experience as a selling agent to negotiate a fair price. Proficient in Mandarin and English with strong cultural awareness, my approach can adapt to suit the communication preferences of the person I’m advising, and I touch base at every step along the way. My style is knowledgeable, professional and straightforward, supported by my accounting and real estate qualifications along with my excellent research skills. I'm here to help my clients make a confident buying or selling decision.
When home buyers seek finding a property to live in, there’s an emotional aspect to their choice. With investors there decisions are more focused toward figures and the return on investment. Either way, I offer a clear head and sound advice backed up with my extensive research into factors including vacancy rates, location, demand and supply, average rental income, population growth, demographics, upcoming developments and price trends for both sales and rental. I enjoy tapping into research and identifying trends. The market is always changing so its important for me to continually monitor its movements and pass on insights to clients.
For me, property is a wonderful reliable asset – owning property gives you solid foundations, and if you understand factors such as market timing and compounding growth it’s possible to achieve excellent wealth outcomes. Property is an investment that allows you to sleep at night, as long as you buy wisely, and for your personal risk profile, which I ensure for my clients.
